Capoeira Luanda Etiquette
Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries or limitations.
What to Wear?
All Capoeira students are expected to wear a clean Capoeira uniform, consisting of the Capoeira Luanda Abadá (training pants) and the Capoeira Luanda Houston uniform t-shirt. New students who do not have a uniform should wear loose, comfortable clothing they can move and sweat in and the Capoeira Luanda t-shirt they get when they pay for registration. Jeans are not recommended.
Shoes are optional. If you are going to wear shoes, lightweight tennis shoes with a flat sole are preferred.
What to Bring?
Bring a water bottle and anything else you may need based on health issues or injuries.
Please arrive to class on time. If you arrive late, be sure to greet your instructor before joining the class. It is customary in Brazilian culture to say hello when you arrive, it is not considered an interruption.
Keep the training area clear of all belongings. There are shelves to place your bags and water bottles near the back door.
